Seven Steps to Solve Errors in Web Hosting

The most common headache for developer is to solve bugs and common web hosting errors while busy in the development. Some time, developer gets stuck-up and spend hours in the office due to this problem.

The Web hosting provides easy to use platform for clients, you need to take care of it by using web hosting platform to solve the following errors.

Reserved pages Message....

I think, there may be  some mistakes while placing html directory into incorrect directory path. Please also ensure that you must have to overwritten the index.html file.

Error 403 - Forbidden message

If you get Error 403 - Forbidden message while visiting the website, make sure that your index.html is in lower case. The host server is most case sensitive while developing the website. Please make sure that all the files are case sensitive to solve the problem.

Broken link....

The broken link error is the most common issue for the developer. Generally, if you have more pages, this problem occur. It is tough task for Designer  it cannot find the error pages. The other common reason for broken link is the case sensitivity issue, because the server is always case sensitive. If your file name starting with uppercase than it will create a problem because your server could not consider the file.

Uploading problem....

Linux is the good operating system; it provides maximum reliability and up-time. While uploading website, please ensure that Linux is a case sensitive operating system, which means you need to keep track of lowercase and uppercase letters. If you cannot do this than it will create a problem when transferring your website data from your hard drive to your server and you will gets errors like broken link or the link is missing etc.

Pages not found...

To solve the page not found error issue is very simple; you just have to place the index.html file in the sub-directory so that you can view your full content when browsing. The website security is most important. So If possible, put the index.html file on the sub-directory for security reason. By putting the index.html in the sub-directory, Index.html will be displayed instead of file listings. Rename the index.html. If you get the error message “Pages not found" on your website than ensure that there may be a problem of renaming the index.html file.

Archives not opening fast….

Normally, the parsing and drawing artifact takes some time. The archives has more than 60 components visualizing might take around a minute, which is not phenomenal, considering the parsing time for each component. If the application is based on Struts Framework, It will take some more time. A J2EE archive, which we can tested for more than 800 components opened within 12 minutes in Design-viewer. The visualization of the archives is  depend on the hardware configuration. The only option is to maximize the hardware capacity for your PC so that you can open the archives very fast otherwise in the normal PC, it will takes its own time.
